The mission of the Volunteer Administrators of Midcoast Maine (VAMM) is to provide an arena for volunteer administrators in Midcoast Maine to find support, to network, to educate and be educated, and to promote an ethic of volunteerism.

VAMM was organized in the early 2000s to meet the educational and networking needs of an increasing number of nonprofits along the coast of Maine, which had administrators working with volunteers. The idea was to organize volunteers in a more formal and meaningful way, and for administrators of volunteers to be less isolated within their nonprofits.
