Bath Savings Institution Announces Staff Additions

Bath, Maine (October 6, 2015) – Bath Savings Institution President & CEO Glenn Hutchinson announced the hiring of two new bank officers and the promotion of Sarah Piper to Commercial Lender. Hutchinson said “We are happy to expand our staff to meet the needs of our continued growth and add to our economy by creating new jobs in the region.”

Rachel Bouchard, of Topsham, has joined the bank as the Vice President of Compliance. Before joining Bath Savings, Rachel worked for Douglas Title Company and H & D Title and Closing Services. She graduated from University of Maine with a degree in Psychology and graduated from University of Maine School of Law where she received her Law degree. Rachel teaches basketball skills to student athletes in her spare time.

Mara Pennell, of Harpswell, joined Bath Savings in September as an Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lender. She started in the banking industry in 2002 and brings a broad spectrum of banking experience. She is a graduate of Bentley College and has her Masters from Southern New Hampshire University. She will be based in Bath, but will assist in commercial lending needs throughout Bath Savings' market.

Sarah Piper, a South Portland native and Commercial Lending Assistant, has been promoted to Commercial Lender. She graduated from USM with a BS in Business in 2014. Sarah worked in financial services before joining Bath Savings as a teller in 2013. She is currently serving as the Treasurer on Tedford Housing’s Board of Directors and as the Vice President on the Risk Management Association Young Professionals Board of Directors.

Hutchinson said, “These women bring a commitment to service and strengthen our banking team for the future, allowing us to continue to provide the personal attention our customers expect.”
