Curtis Library Seeks Community Input

April 6 – 17:  Tell Us What Curtis Can Do for You!

BRUNSWICK, MAINE – Wednesday, April 1, 2015 - From Monday, April 6 through Friday, April 17, Curtis Memorial Library is asking the community to put on their thinking caps and raise their community voices.  Curtis Library is trying an experiment in open community dialogue.  During those ten days we are asking Brunswick and Harpswell citizens to share their ideas about how Curtis Library can best serve the community, today and in the future.

Every day during that period we will post a new question to help citizens start thinking about the future of their library.  People can answer the question we ask, build on others’ answers, come up with their own ideas, share articles and images that are relevant to the topic – whatever they think has value.

Our goals are to find out what the community thinks the library is doing right, where there is room for improvement, and what new things they would like the library to try.  Over the ten day period from   April 6 until April 17 we hope to collect (at least) 100 new ideas that the library can then incorporate into its strategic plan update.

Community members can participate in any of the following ways, as often as they want:

Library Director Elisabeth Doucett adds, “We hope all in the community will help us by joining the conversation.  Curtis Library is here to meet your needs.  We’re listening – what do you have to say?”
