The projects will also include moving a small garden, creating a cutting garden and a new 20 x 40 foot "Kitchen Garden" on their 28 acre property along the Kennebec River.
The Home will offer morning coffee and a hearty homemade lunch of soup, sandwiches and mulled cider for the volunteers. Families are encouraged, however because the Home property is adjacent to the Kennebec River, all children must be supervised by adults.
It will be helpful if participants bring items they will need - gloves, a cart or wheelbarrow, rakes, shovels, tarps and hand pruners.
