Hospital Seeks Junior Volunteers

May 12, 2016

Mid Coast Hospital is seeking youth, ages 13-18, for its Junior Volunteer program. The eight-week summer program begins the last week of June and is especially beneficial to students who may be interested in a health career. There are 45-50 available positions.

Volunteering at Mid Coast Hospital gives students an opportunity to be part of a caring culture in a professional setting, while making a difference in their communities. The experience at the hospital can support a student’s prospective employment, as well as recommendations for colleges and such groups as National Honor Society. Additionally, student volunteers may be eligible for healthcare career scholarships that are granted annually by the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary.

Applications for the summer 2016 program are due by May 27. To submit an application, students can visit the Mid Coast Hospital Volunteer Services Office or complete an online application at www.midcoasthealth.com/volunteer/junior-volunteers.aspx<http://www.midcoasthealth.com/volunteer/junior-volunteers.aspx>.

For questions and more information call 373-6015, or email scoray@midcoasthealth.com<mailto:scoray@midcoasthealth.com>.
