LARISSA DARCY JOINS BAR HARBOR BANK & TRUST

Topsham, Maine – Curtis C. Simard, President and CEO of Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, along with the Board of Directors, is pleased to welcome Larissa Darcy, Vice President/ Regional Relationship Manager to Bar Harbor Bank & Trust.  Larissa’s office is located in the Topsham branch at 2 Main Street.

With more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry, Larissa will work with business owners in the greater Brunswick/Topsham and Portland areas, helping them make the most of the opportunities and challenges they face as they strive to grow their businesses. 

 Larissa started her banking career at Citibank in Sunnyvale, California as a Customer Service Representative and was quickly promoted to Loan Executive, then CitiGold Executive.  She returned to Portland, Maine as Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager with Citibank.  She then moved to Orlando, Florida where she worked as Vice President/Senior Branch Manager for Suntrust Bank.  In 2003, Larissa joined Wachovia Bank in Atlanta, Georgia as Vice President, holding several positions over her five years there including Retail Credit Sales Consultant, Financial Specialist, and Business Banker.  She returned to Maine in 2008, working for the Bank of Maine in Portland as Regional Vice President/Community Banking, prior to joining Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. 

Having grown up in Brunswick, Maine, Larissa earned her bachelor’s degree from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts.  In her community, Larissa is a very active volunteer.  Most recently she served as the 2014 United Way of Mid Coast Maine Campaign Chair.  She has also served on boards of the United Way and American Red Cross, and is the President of the Brunswick Development Corporation.  In addition, she is an involved member of the Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber and the Brunswick Downtown Association.

Larissa resides in Brunswick, Maine with her husband, John Fortin, and their three sons, Nicholas, Samuel, and Donald Fortin.  When not at work, Larissa enjoys spending time with family and friends.
