Mid Coast Golf Tournament Raises Funds to Support Community Health

Brunswick, ME – On September 9, Mid Coast Hospital held the 22nd Annual Golf Fore! Health Classic. A total of 138 golfers participated in the tournament, which raised $56,260 for health and wellness programs. These funds will be used to expand and support programs offered by Mid Coast Hospital’s Center for Community Health and Wellness, including cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation, outpatient nutrition, weight loss, tobacco cessation, and asthma education.

“Much of the success of the event is due to the generous involvement of the many event sponsors,” said Steven Trockman, Director of Community Health and Wellness at Mid Coast–Parkview Health. “They recognize the importance of these programs in improving and strengthening the overall health of our community.”

Many other local and regional companies also showed their support by donating contest and raffle prizes, as well as in-kind donations.
