The Plant Memorial Home Welcomes New Director

The Board of Directors of The Plant Memorial Home is pleased to announce that Kristi Hyde of Harpswell will be joining The Plant Home to assume the role of Executive Director and Director of Nursing.  

Ms. Hyde has a long career in the direct oversight of nursing practice, ensuring quality patient care in      well-known health institutions.   Most recently, she was a Nurse Manager for New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland, Maine, and previously, she was Nurse Case Manager, Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, DC.   She has extensive experience in assessment and implementation strategies to meet patient needs and to deliver successful, professional quality care. 

In addition to her Nursing and Nurse Management experience, Ms. Hyde has built and maintained effective strategic relationships with various agencies, as well as public and private organizations, and has excelled as an Administrator, Trainer and Technical Advisor to staff and management in the Medical Treatment Facility setting.   

Kristi Hyde holds a Bachelor of Science, Nursing from St. Joseph’s College, Standish, ME, a Diploma from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Portland, ME, and is a Lieutenant Colonel, US Army Reserve, Retired.

Donald Capoldo has stepped down as the Executive Director after 10 years of service, leading The Plant Home after its expansion in 2001.  The Board of Directors is grateful for the passion and care Don has brought to the position, for the relationships he built in the community, and for his commitment to the mission of The Plant Home.
