Thousands of donated books go on sale Thursday and Friday, April 3 and 4, for the annual Spring Used Book Sale, sponsored by Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary and held at Mid Coast Hospital, 123 Medical Center Dr., Brunswick. Hours are 8 am-4 pm. Books may be donated Saturdays March 8, 15, 22 and 29.

Donations of used books may be taken to the front door of the old Borders book store at Merrymeeting Plaza, Bath road, Brunswick, for four Saturdays in March, starting with March 8 and continuing throuugh March 29, 9 am to 12 noon. Books are sorted into more than 14 categories for easy searching of favorite titles and topics. Prices are $3 for hardcovers and $1 for paperbacks.

Unacceptable donations are magazine, textbooks, encyclopedias, Readers Digest condensed books, soiled and damaged books. These books simply do not sell. Volunteers will be at Borders to help transfer books into the store.
