The Tour de Merrymeeting Bay is a 50 mile fully supported loop ride around Merrymeeting Bay. The ride consists of good pavement, some rolling hills, farmland, forest, streams, picturesque Maine villages, and outstanding scenery with river and bay vistas. The 25 mile Bowdoinham and Back is for families and novice riders, looking for a shorter but still scenic loop. BBQ lunch and music are provided at the conclusion of the ride.
Start and finish at Topsham’s Foreside Recreation fields. The ride is fully supported: maps and route descriptions; road markers and signs; rest stops with snacks, drinks and toilet facilities; SAG vehicles; motorcycle marshals; bike shop mechanical support; EMT’s Free T-shirt for all registered cyclists.
All proceeds from the Tour de Merrymeeting Bay benefit development and stewardship of the Head of Tide Park–a collaborative conservation project between the Town of Topsham and the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust.
