As part of the ongoing Ounce of Prevention series, Mid Coast Senior Health Center will host a presentation by Crystal V. Card, Assistant Vice President at People’s United Bank. “Bea Financially Savvy Senior” will be held Monday, January 12, from 11 a.m. to noon at the Mid Coast Senior Health Center, 58 Baribeau Drive in Brunswick.

Based on the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation’s (FDIC) financial literacy presentation, “Money Smart for Older Adults,” the program is designed to help seniors learn the basics of handling their personal money and finances. The presentation will cover the role of Power of Attorney, fiduciary abuse, investment fraud, lottery and sweepstakes fraud, telephone scams, and identity theft, as well as ways to create positive relationships with financial institutions.

The Ounce of Prevention is a monthly series providing education about health and healthcare issues sponsored by Mid Coast Senior Health Center.
