Small Business Success Seminar: If Disaster Strikes - How Ready Are You & Your Business 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM Topsham Public Library, 25 Foreside Rd. , Topsham, Maine

Be prepared for the worst by being the best prepared. Do you have a flight plan? Learn what to do should a disaster strike. A hurricane, tornado, earthquake, flood, blizzard or even a cyber attack could bring your organization to a halt.

Join April Caron, Executive Director of the American Red Cross – Central and Mid Coast Maine Chapter and Barbara Rapoza, Marketing Manager with Servpro of Bath/Brunswick as they provide you with a flight plan to help navigate you and your organization safely through a disaster.

How ready are you? Ask yourself these questions: If severe weather were to strike, who would be at risk?

Do you have an effective way of reaching everyone in your facility? Has everyone been briefed on the best way to report an emergency? If a crisis occurs, what is the expected impact on the organizations supply chain?

This seminar will provide you with emergency preparedness tips and introduce you to The American Red Cross Ready Rating™ program and the SERVPRO Emergency READY Program.

The American Red Cross Ready Rating™ program is a free, web-based program designed to help businesses, organizations and schools become better prepared for emergencies. Through the Ready Rating program website, readyrating.org, Organizations complete a 123-point self-assessment of their level of preparedness for weather-related and other emergencies facing their businesses.   The Red Cross Ready Rating Program shows you how to take all necessary steps before disaster strikes to protect your business from damage and loss while ensuring business continuity. When disaster does strikes, knowing what to do and who to call saves time-and fast response is key to minimizing damage and downtime.

With SERVPRO’s Emergency READY Program (ready.servpro.com), Barbara Rapoza with Servpro of Bath/Brunswick can establish an Emergency READY Profile® (ERP) for your facility. The ERP is a comprehensive document containing critical information about your business, including emergency contact information, shut-off valve locations and priority areas. In the event of an emergency, the ERP can help minimize business interruption by having an immediate plan of action in place for your facility.

Both SERVPRO’s ERP and the Ready Rating program from the Red Cross are no-cost assessments; all they require is a little time, making these resources a great value that could save your business time and money in the future.
