LIBRARY WORKING WITH LOCAL ARTISTS, POETS AND MUSICIANS TO OFFER EKPHRASTIC POETRY CAFÉ 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Curtis Memorial Library , Brunswick, Maine

LIBRARY WORKING WITH LOCAL ARTISTS, POETS AND MUSICIANS TO OFFER EKPHRASTIC POETRY CAFÉ

The Curtis Memorial Library is excited to present an Ekphrastic Poetry Café and Art Exhibit in April as part of our month-long celebration honoring National Poetry Month. Ekphrastic poetry is a poem about, or inspired by a work of art. The writer interprets a work of visual art then creates a narrative in verse form that represents his or her reaction to that painting, photograph, sculpture, or other artistic creation. We've collaborated with Five Rivers Arts Alliance, SMCC, SpindleWorks, and other local artists to bring you this eclectic mixed media art exhibit.  You can view the exhibit in the Curtis Collaboratory or online at curtislibrary.com/ekphrastic. Additional poetry programming in April includes:
