MTUG Webinars - Local IT voices, where you are.The Maine Technology Users Group is hosting a free online webinar Wednesday, April 22, from 1pm-2pm, with a panel of speakers discussing the variety of concerns regarding internet use, devices, and employee policy.

Panel speakers include David Ciullo, President of Career Management Associates, and host of the HR Power Hour talk show produced at WLOB in Portland; Kirk Egge, Chief Information Officer, Mechanics Savings Bank; and Michael Malloy, Associate Attorney at Brann & Isaacson Attorneys. Volunteer MTUG board members -- Tom Farrington of the Holden Insurance Agency, and Linda Ollen of New England Communications -- will moderate the discussion.

"Do your employees surf the net during your business day? Are you ok with that? Must they use their own devices or can they use their corporate issued computers, tablets or smartphones?

This webinar will discuss the HR and legal issues surrounding policies for employee use of corporate resources whether via their personal devices or via corporate devices. For many business there are significant security concerns around these issues – many reinforced by federal regulation. Besides hearing from an HR specialist and an attorney in employment law, your will also hear from Maine businesses about steps they are taking to address the issue."
