What You Should Know About Protecting Your Intellectual Property 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM Tech Place, 74 Orion St. , Brunswick, Maine

Entrepreneurs have numerous innovative ideas that they work hard to bring to fruition, but there are steps that should be taken to protect intellectual property.  Obtaining a patent, trademark, or copyright are a few ways to do that.

Have you ever asked yourself:

  • What is a patent and why would I need one?
  • What is the difference between a Utility Patent and a Design Patent?
  • How long is a patent good for?
  • What is involved in the application process to obtain a patent?
  • How long does the process take, how much does it cost, and who should I talk with?
  • What should be patented and what should not?
  • What items should I have a trademark on or a copyright on?

If you are interested in getting answers to the above questions, please join us at TechPlace on Thursday June 18th from 4-5:30pm. Patent Attorney, Todd Sullivan, will be presenting information on Patents, Trademarks, and Copyrights and answering all questions on the subject.

Pizza and drinks will be served and an RSVP to Kristine Schuman at kristines@mrra.us is appreciated for planning purposes.  Thank you and we hope to see you on the 18th.
