Midcoast Lyme Disease Support & Education announces Brunswick Lyme Support Group!!

Midcoast Lyme Disease Support & Education (MLDSE), a nonprofit organization, is pleased to announce they will be holding Lyme Disease Support meetings at Midcoast Hospital in Conference rooms 1 & 2 from 6:00pm-8:00pm.  This meeting will be held the first Wednesday of every month at this location and time.

Paula Jackson Jones and Angele Rice, both Lyme Disease survivors, co-founded the Midcoast Lyme Disease Support & Education in 2014, which is a recognized Maine-state supporting affiliate group with the national Lyme Disease Association.  Their focus is raising awareness, fostering education, advocating for change and providing local community support to those and their families affected by Lyme Disease and associated tick-borne diseases across the Midcoast region of Maine.  Currently, they hold meetings in Brunswick, Rockport and Wiscasset.

The support group meetings offer information, education and a ray of hope for those struggling for answers and directions.  Guest speakers come every other month and share their expertise in the field of tick-borne diseases. The meetings are free and open to the public.  It is a support group setting and there is no childcare so we ask that you plan accordingly.  If you have Lyme, think that you may have Lyme, know someone who has Lyme or just want to know more about Lyme, prevention, diagnosis and treatment options, then this group is for YOU!
