The Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary will be hosting its annual “Sweets for the Sweet” Valentine bake sale on Friday, February 12, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. , at the Mid Coast Hospital Café, 123 Medical Center Drive in Brunswick. Proceeds from this fundraiser benefit hospital projects and Healthcare Career Scholarships, a program to support the future growth of a high-quality medical workforce.

The sale features homemade fudge and candies, as well as a variety of baked items including breads, scones, cakes, pies, tarts, and cookies. Assorted plates are available, as well as treats packaged in small amounts, ready for gift giving.

Each year, the Mid Coast Hospital Auxiliary awards approximately $40,000 in healthcare scholarships to local high school and college students, or to hospital employees furthering their education at four year colleges, technical schools, or specialized training centers. Applications for scholarships are due April 15, and may be found on the Mid Coast Hospital website at www.midcoasthealth.com/volunteer.

Those interested in donating homemade goods for the event may drop items off at the Mid Coast Hospital Volunteer Office, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., on Wednesday, February 10 or Thursday, February 11. More information is available by calling 373-6015, or emailing scoray@midcoasthealth.com.
