3 Part Capital Series - Planning for Growth
Feb. 4th Borrowing Money – What Kind of Financing do you Need?
There is an adage in lending that “you must tie the term of the loan to the life of the assets being financed”. Just what are the implications for a growing small business? What type of financing is available to meet the myriad of needs to fund business growth? What will it cost to borrow? How long will you have to pay it back?
Several lending and grant organizations such as SBA, FAME, MCEDD, DECD, and MTI will have information displays and take away materials. During the session, each organization will give a 5 minutes overview of the services and programs that they offer businesses. There will be time for questions and answers as well as one-on-one time with organizational representatives.
Feb. 18th The Truth About Investing and Investors
“I’ll get an investor?” We hear this a lot when discussing funding business growth. But what does it take to attract venture capital? What do VC’s look for? What do they want from the current owners? What makes for a good venture offer?
The realities of pursuing and obtaining an outside equity investment as a source of growth capital will be covered by a panel of 3 of Maine’s widely known and recognized experts on the subject.
