Tibetan Buddhist Prayers for the Dead and Vairocana Empowerment 10:00 AM Brunswick Library , Brunswick, Maine

Khenpo Kunga Dhundop, Abbot of Pema Ts’al Sakya Monastic Institute
Maha Vairocana (Kunrig in Tibetan) Prayers and Empowerment
Morning: 10 am to Noon Maha Vaircocana Puja (prayers for the deceased not to be reborn in the lower realms)
Afternoon: 2 pm to 4 pm *Vairocana Empowerment*
Please bring with you a list with names of the deceased for whom you would like to dedicate prayers.
*It is a pre-requisite to attend the morning Vairocana ritual to receive the empowerment in the afternoon*
Both events are offered by donation, with a suggested amount of $30 per session or $50 for the full day. (donations by cash or local check only please)

Vairocana is one of the 5 Buddhas and is depicted in the color white. This is considered the most powerful practice to do when someone dies, in order to not only bless the body but to help the deceased pass thru the bardo state.

By receiving the empowerment in the afternoon you will then be able to recite these prayers yourself for the recently deceased and / or dying.

Khenpo Kunga’s infectious and warm personality along with his vast knowledge of rituals, have earned him many friends throughout the world. This will be his first visit to Maine where one of his closest friends and students, Ani Jane, lives.

Due to limited seating, please RSVP to Ani Jane: janejb@yahoo.com, or 201-805-8683
