St. Bart’s Christmas Fair 9:00 AM St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church , Yarmouth

Shoppers looking for holiday gifts for friends and family will find hundreds of options at the 27th annual Christmas Fair at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church at 396 Gilman Road. Wreaths, handcrafts, attic treasures, baked goods, gourmet soups, books, DVDs, music – and more – will be available for sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2.

The fair, also featuring a silent auction and a light lunch of soups, salads and sandwiches, will be held in the church’s bright, post-and-beam space about 2 miles from downtown Yarmouth on the way to Cousins Island. Admission is free, with proceeds from sales helping benefit St. Bart’s community service programs.

Among the food offerings again this year is Gourmet Freezer, a line of pre-cooked, frozen soups created by St. Bart’s skilled chefs. These delicious soups make excellent gifts and save time during the busy holiday season.

Other highlights of the 2017 Christmas Fair include:

• Jewelry and Purses: A wide assortment of jewelry will be available, from polished silver to costume and antique rarities. Brand name purses and luxury bags will also be on sale.

• Books, DVDs and Music: Another popular draw is the diverse selection of books, DVDs and music. Book prices will be $2 (hardcover) and $1 (softbound).

• Silent Auction: The fair will feature a silent auction of special items, such as quilts, antiques, other fine arts, handmade furniture and gift certificates. Make a bid!

• Wreaths: Best sellers every year, these fresh, high-quality Christmas wreaths will be available as plain greens or with decorations.

• Baked Goods: An array of goodies will be offered, ranging from homemade fudge to pies, cakes and breads. Better still, the popular “cookie walk” allows customers to mix and match a baker’s dozen cookies from many scrumptious varieties.

• Handcrafts: These knitted or handcrafted items include aprons, potholders, mittens, hats, hand-painted Christmas figures, bird houses, candles, hand-styled note cards, ornaments and license plate crafts.

• Holiday Table Decorations: Another fair favorite is an array of holiday-themed table decorations, ranging from Christmas angels and boxwood trees to Christmas baskets and terrariums.

• Attic Treasures: These slightly upscale pieces include glassware, china, kitchenware, linens, toys, baskets and collectable Christmas decorations.

You will be sure to find something attractive for everyone on your shopping list!
