Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice Relocates Norway Office

March 13, 2015

Lewiston, ME – On February 26, Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice (AHCH), moved their Norway office to The Golden Arch building located on 39 Main Street (Suite 3) in Norway. AHCH occupies the second floor of The Golden Arch building which also has access to an elevator.

For AHCH, a non-profit agency that provides skilled home care, hospice and supportive care for patients in western and central Maine, the move provides improved visibility, better accessibility for families, patients and staff, and room to grow.

“The move has provided a better location for our employees who work in Oxford County. It’s not only a much larger space compared to what we had before, but it has given us a more comfortable work environment – allowing us to expand our staff and services within the county.” Stated Gail Castonguay, AHCH Supervisor for Norway.  “We have already been able to add two new staff members to our team of 40, which currently consist of registered nurses, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, home health aides and team assistants. When I started in 1983 there were only 10 staff members working in the Oxford area – it was a very small group.”

A community open house and ribbon cutting ceremony has been set for March 26 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. AHCH will be providing food, refreshments and answers to any questions visitors have. Everyone is welcome to join the Agency in celebrating the new location.

AHCH has been providing services to Oxford County since 1980 with a service coverage area spanning from Brownfield all the way to Hartford totaling 21 towns and communities. On average, the agency provides services to 180 patients in Oxford County every year.

Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice is a nonprofit Medicare-certified agency that provides patient centered care that is meaningful, organized, developed, effective/efficient and has lasting quality.
