Bath Savings Named a Best Place to Work in Maine

Bath, Maine – (November 24, 2014) Bath Savings Institution has been named one of 2014’s Best Places to Work in Maine. Best Places to Work in ME is a program designed to foster business growth and excellence throughout the state.

The award, given by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), recognizes companies that cultivate outstanding workplaces, and benefit Maine’s economy, its workforce and businesses.

Bath Savings Institution is a local bank with nine locations from Damariscotta to South Portland. The bank’s financial professionals were surveyed as part of the Best Places to Work program.

“This designation is very meaningful to us,“ says President Glenn Hutchinson. “It recognizes our passion for exceptional service without exception for our employees, our customers and our communities.”

The assessment process, led by the Best Companies Group, evaluated each nominee’s workplace policies, practices, and demographics, and measured employee experience.

“Our employees are committed not just to helping our customers with expert service, but also to serving the communities where they live and work,” Hutchinson says. “They’re the reason Bath Savings is such a great place to work and bank.”

The SHRM is composed of Maine State Council and Best Companies Group. Partners endorsing the program include Mainebiz, the Maine State Chamber of Commerce and Maine HR Convention.
