BEYOND THE BUSINESS PLAN: Topics in small business management.

July 19, 2019

BEYOND THE BUSINESS PLAN: Topics in small business management.

Planning is essential for reducing risk in business. A small business can waste a great deal of time and money if it’s owners, manager and employees don’t know where they are going or why. A good business plan establishes realistic, measurable and time phased goals, and lays out how they will be accomplished.
The real challenge for most small businesses is implementing and sticking to their plan.

Starting on July 24th, in conjunction with Tech Place at Brunswick Landing, Maine Certified Master Business Advisor Bradshaw Swanson will be facilitating discussions on managing a business plan. Each topic will be covered over the course of 2 consecutive sessions. These sessions will be interactive and focused on improving small business performance.

Participation will be limited to 12 companies, with a limit of 2 participants per company.

• July: Strategy – what is it? Do you need one? How does it work, exactly?
• August: How can I be lost if I am sure I don’t know where I am? Setting goals and measuring results.
• September: The Big Picture: How the pieces fit together
• October: Financial planning
• November: Marketing planning
• January: Operations planning
• February: Work force planning

All sessions will run from 10:30 AM to 12:00 Noon and be held at TECH PLACE. The sessions are open to all business located at BRUNSWICK LANDING.
