Freedom Boat Club of Maine Earns National Award

November 29, 2018 Yarmouth, Maine — Freedom Boat Club (FBC) of Maine was recently recognized as “Rookie
of the Year” at the FBC National Franchise Conference in Sarasota, Florida. This award is given to the most
promising new franchise that opens each year. Maine beat out 25 other new FBC franchise locations to earn this
designation based on its fast growth and solid accomplishments.

“This award validates the hard work of our team,” noted Steve Arnold, owner of the Maine FBC locations. “It’s an
honor to be noticed as one of the top franchises in a company that reaches across the U.S. and Canada. We
have a great crew of really talented, dedicated individuals who worked tirelessly to help ensure our success. I
couldn’t be prouder of them.”

Freedom Boat Club of Maine was also recognized as a National Charity Marketing Partner for their generous
charity work. Of the 170+ clubs across the country, Maine was one of 21 FBC franchise locations to earn this
designation. In 2018, Freedom Boat Club of Maine donated over $10,000 to local Maine charities including
Maine Center for Grieving Children, Camp Sunshine, Maine Audubon, Maine Cancer Foundation, Maine Island
Trails Association, North Yarmouth Academy, Friends of Casco Bay, Make a Wish Foundation of Maine, Spurwink,
YMCA and more.

“We feel that it is important to give back to our community,” Arnold explained. “Our whole team gets involved.
They give their time and energies to help in our initiatives.”
