Golden Opportunity to Build the Chamber's Scholarship Fund

Southern Midcoast Maine Chamber announces "Golden Opportunity": A fundraiser to help the Chamber's scholarship fund, which benefits the school districts in its region. SMMC, in conjunction with Party of Gold, is hosting several events from October 8th through the 11th to help raise money for local schools. Money raised in each community will go to help that specific school district. This unique fundraiser not only allows people to help without spending any money, but they actually make money themselves at the same time!

How does it work? Gold, silver and platinum are still at historic high prices (currently over $1,300 per oz.) So why don't you cash in your old, unwanted broken or out-of-style jewelry and make some money for the upcoming holiday season (or "heating oil" season) and help your local school district at the same time? Party of Gold will pay you competitive prices (or better) for your unwanted items (not just jewelry) and then donate a percentage to the Chamber's scholarship fund. It's a win-win for everyone!

Party of Gold provides a safe, fun, convenient, environment to have your items assessed. Everything is done in front of you and weighed on a state certified scale. There is no obligating to sell and estimates are free, so bring in anything you would like to have looked at. You will be paid on the spot, if you choose to sell any of your items. Please bring your photo ID with you in order to do so.

Tuesday, October 8 and Wednesday, October 9 - Noon to 5pm

Location: Priority Group (Border Trust) Business Center, 2 Main St., Topsham

Thursday, October 10 - Noon - 7pm

Benefits: RSU 01 Arrowsic, Bath, Phippsburg, West Bath, Woolwich
Location: Key Bank, 40 Front St, Bath

Friday October 11 - Noon - 4 pm

Benefits: RSU 12 Westport Island and Wiscasset (Sheepscot Valley Regional School Unit 12)
Location: Nickels-Sortwell House, 121 Main Street (Route 1), Wiscasset.
All participants at this location will get a special offer coupon form Historic New England, as a thank you.
