INCOMER announces Fall Publication Schedule

(Portland, ME) Layla Kargar, Publisher/Owner of INCOMER Magazine, has announced that the third quarter publication of INCOMER Magazine will be available on September 20. The autumn edition will be focused on the current political landscape and upcoming elections.

INCOMER is published quarterly both in print and online to shine a light on the contributions of immigrants to the great 'melting pot' that is America. INCOMER strives to put faces and voices to recent and established arrivals, and to remind all of us of America's promise to the world; from the Emma Lazarus’ sonnet, New Colossus:  “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.”

Five thousand copies will be distributed to subscribers and on newsstands in over 75 locations in Portland, South Portland, Yarmouth, Falmouth, Westbrook, Gorham, Saco, Lewiston/Auburn and Augusta. Advertisers may also request additional copies for distribution.

INCOMER is a start-up publication so there is no official research to date, but anecdotally, readership is split between immigrants (30-35%) and those seeking to understand immigrants and their contributions (65-70%). Several area libraries subscribe to the publication, and area groups that work with immigrants utilize the publication as part of their curriculum in training recent arrivals. Layla Kargar, an immigrant and the publisher of INCOMER, started the publication in 2018 when she noted a discrepancy between political statements and public characterizations of immigrants and the reality of the positive contributions made by new and prospective Americans.  Ms. Kargar has contracted with Sam Pfeifle of West Gray Creative for editorial content as well as design, and with Michelle Lester of ML Marketing Solutions, LLC for advertising sales.  People interested in subscribing or purchasing past editions may do so at incomermagazine.com.  Businesses interested in marketing opportunities can contact Michelle Lester at 207-489-9203 or through email at ml@MichelleLesterMarketing.com.
