Laura Shortill joins Law Firm of Eaton Peabody

The law firm of Eaton Peabody is pleased to welcome attorney Laura Shortill to the firm. Laura will be resident in the firm’s Bangor office and joins the Trusts and Estates practice group.

Prior to joining Eaton Peabody's trusts and estates practice, Laura worked at the Law Offices of P. Todd Travis in Brunswick, Maine. She graduated from the University of Maine School of Law in 2014, where she was the President of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA) Student Chapter (2011-2013). While in law school she interned for the United States Attorney’s Office and Federal Defender’s Office, and was a student attorney for the Penobscot & Piscataquis County District Attorney’s Office and Intellectual Property Clinic, Center for Law and Innovation.

Laura earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard University in Classics. She was a member of the ΑΣΛ Phi Beta National Honor Society, and was awarded the Annamae and Allan R. Crite Prize for “singular dedication to learning and the arts.” Laura comes from a lawyering family. Her father and his brothers practiced law at Shortill & Shortill for many years in Sanford, Maine.
