Mid Coast Hospital launches its 2015 Annual Giving Campaign

November 18, 2015

Mid Coast Hospital has launched its 2015 Annual Giving Campaign. Each year, this campaign seeks to establish and grow strong philanthropic partnerships with community members, businesses, patients, and families. As a non-profit organization, Mid Coast Hospital uses the donations to offset the rising costs of healthcare, allow for investments in technology and training, and to increase access to medical care for all.

From routine checkups and community health education, to surgical procedures and treatment of serious illnesses, Mid Coast Hospital provides the highest quality, compassionate care to everyone regardless of their ability to pay. Acknowledged as being one of the highest-quality, lowest-cost hospitals in the state of Maine, Mid Coast was listed as a 2015 “Best Regional Hospital” by U.S. News & World Report; one of only two facilities in Maine to meet the stringent standards to qualify for this national recognition.

“The past year has been an exciting and eventful one,” noted Kara Johnson, Director of Development at Mid Coast–Parkview Health. “With multiple landmark events, such as the integration with Parkview Adventist Medical Center and the opening of a state of the art healthcare facility in Bath, Mid Coast Hospital has risen to new heights to care for the health of our community. While the cost to achieve these initiatives has been significant, these endeavors will help create a more sustainable healthcare system for our region,” Johnson explained.

Funds raised through the Annual Giving Campaign support Mid Coast Hospital’s efforts to deliver comprehensive healthcare for all generations. Whether the motivation to give is to say thank you for compassionate, high-quality care received; to provide support to individuals that can’t afford to pay; or to promote better health for family and friends, all contributions large and small are welcomed. Donations can be made online at www.midcoasthealth.com/gifts<http://www.midcoasthealth.com/gifts> or by calling (207) 373-6064.
