October 14, 2014

President & CEO Glenn Hutchinson announced the election of Bath Savings Institution’s newest trustee, William T. Racine. A resident of Phippsburg, Racine is a C.P.A. with an office located in Bath.

A Vermont native, Racine graduated from the University of New Hampshire. He began his professional career as a C.P.A. in 1979 with PriceWaterhouse Coopers in Portland and eventually worked at Berry Dunn before starting his own practice in Bath.

Racine and his wife Diane live in Phippsburg and are parents of two grown sons. He serves on the Board of the RSU#1 Education Foundation, the Wolfe's Neck Farm Foundation and has been active with the Plant Home, Popham Library, the Phippsburg Seniors Project and the Popham Chapel.

“We are delighted to have Bill Racine join Bath Savings Institution’s Board of Trustees. His financial expertise and his commitment to our region will add to the strength we already have on our Board,” stated Bath Savings’ President & CEO Hutchinson, “Bill Racine has been a great friend and resource to the bank over the years and we are fortunate to have him serve on our Board.”

Board members are selected from the bank’s Corporators and they live and work in the coastal communities in the bank’s market region. The trustees deal with a range of policy issues and general oversight of the bank’s business.

“I have been a BSI customer for many years and respect their strong, conservative approach to banking. Their commitment to exceptional service is demonstrated every day.  It is a personal honor to serve on the Board of this strong financial institution,” remarked Racine.
