The Bach Virtuosi Festival (June 17-24, 2018) brings the greatest baroque artists to Portland to perform the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and composers of the baroque genre in intimate venues. Started by Lewis Kaplan, a renowned musician and the co-founder of the Bowdoin International Music Festival, as the Portland Bach Festival in June 2016, the musicians who performed at this festival are the nucleus of the Bach Virtuosi Festival. This vision met with extraordinary success from the public, the press and the artists themselves. The vision goes on in June 2018 with the same artists, the same standards and the same integrity to the music. Portland will once again have world-class performances of Bach played with both brilliance and love.
Tickets are available through PortTIX by phone, website or at the box office. Visit BachVirtuosiFestival.org for details.
