Self-Defense & Risk Awareness Training Program, June 25

WILL Power, our Women In Local Leadership team, is proud to bring you their next 2019 event on June 25, a 90-minute to two-hour Self-Defense and Risk Awareness Training Program beginning at 5PM and possibly going until 7PM depending on Q & A. 
This program is a discussion geared toward realistic options for the student. Each session includes educational components comprised of lecture, discussion, and physical resistive strategies.  The course will be taught at The Highlands inside the Holden Frost House in Topsham (24 Elm Street) and thank you to The Highlands for being the venue sponsor. 
Our 2019 WILL Power Event Series sponsors are Avita of Brunswick and Sunnybrook, of the Northbridge Companies- thank you to them as well for their continued support. 
The course will be taught by the Maine State Director of the R.A.D. program, Karen Grotten Pelletier. 

The R.A.D. System is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women. It is a comprehensive course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on defense training.

R.A.D. is not a Martial Arts program. The courses are taught by nationally certified R.A.D. Instructors and provide female students of all ages with realistic self-defense tactics and techniques through education, dependency on self, making one’s own decision, and realization of one’s own power.

There is space for about 20 people, so if you want to be a part of this register now.  There is no cost per se, but there is a suggested donation of $10 per person which would go back to paying for supplies for the R.A.D. program so they can do this program other places.
