Community Calendar
It is our 10th Anniversary and we want to celebrate with you! Maine Authors Publishing will be hosting a book festival with thirty-one authors of varying genres on August 24th from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
We will have a dedicated children’s area, free food and refreshments, presentations, raffles, live music by Castle Bay, and attendees will be able to browse and purchase books from the stacks. Visual slideshow presentations will include “Chasing the Story of the Mysterious Hermit Jim Whyte” (11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.) with Jeffrey H. Ryan and “Poems and Images” (1:30–2:30 p.m.) by Carolyn Locke.
A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to support the Maine Humanities Council’s Harriet P. Henry Center for the Book.
