Mushroom or Toadstool? Introduction to the world of macrofungi (no matter what they’re called!)

Learn about the basic physiology and ecology of forest fungi in this walk designed for ‘beginner mushroom enthusiasts.’ Our leaders will introduce participants to methods for identifying fungi as we observe them and collect specimens.
Leaders Delmar Small and Teague Morris have been observing and identifying mushrooms for over ten years. They have been active in the Maine Mycological Association and serve as part of the fungi recording team for the annual conference of the Northeast Mycological Federation.
This FREE walk is limited to 20 people.
