CREA: Lessons from Avian Haven Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center: A Citizen’s Guide to Helping the Birds of Maine

Attendees will learn the common reasons why birds are admitted to the rehabilitation center in Freedom, as well as what the public can do to help our local birds. Laura Suomi-Lecker, our Education and Outreach Coordinator will highlight, with slides and videos, the effort and dedication required to rehabilitate the many species of Maine birds. The presentation includes instances of the joyous moment when rehabilitated birds are released into the wild.
