The Healthcare Purchaser Alliance has just signed an exclusive agreement with Employee Benefit Services to offer their Bridge program to Maine purchasers. The Bridge program is a secondary insurance product that allows small- to mid-size fully-insured and level-funded employers to dramatically decrease their premium expense while also improving benefits for employees.
The HPA has spent the last 4 months vetting this approach, and we are confident that it is an effective strategy that can help many Maine businesses. On average, purchasers who use the program save 20-25% off total premium spend in the first year. It is exciting to have a program that can now help so much of the Maine market, especially with all the budget issues that have arisen from COVID-19.
