Get Your Questions Answered- Send them Early:
To submit your questions, e-mail them to Cory King at
executivedirector@midcoastmaine.com as he will be moderating the event.
Questions need to be received at least ONE DAY PRIOR to the event for consideration.  Simply put "Forum Question" in your e-mail subject line

Forum Format:

Welcome, Ground Rules & Opening Statements, 12:00-12:15:
After an introduction from the moderator (Cory King, SMMC Executive Director) we will give each candidate 3:00 minutes for an opening statement.

Q & A, 12:15-12:50:
Questions, submitted by viewers prior to the forum or in the chat, will be read by the moderator.  Each candidate will get 1:30 to comment on the question and we will rotate who gets a chance to answer first with each question.  Following everyone’s answer we will give any candidate 30 seconds to “respond further” on any question (or to use as a rebuttal).  Then we will move to the next question.

- There will be no direct questions from the public, all questions will come from the moderator and the pre-submitted questions.

 - As we get close to 12:50 we may cut the answer period for a question down to try and get a final question in.  For example, if it’s 12:45 we may say, please limit your answers to 60 seconds and 15 second “respond further”.

Closing Statements 12:50-1:00PM
Each candidate will get 2:00 minutes for a closing statement and the moderator will thank the viewers and Chamber sponsors.  Candidate closing statements should include the best way to contact them for more information.

Recording: We WILL be recording this for distribution on the SMMC Facebook page, YouTube channel and possibly local cable access.
