My Franco Family: How I Researched my Roots, Found My Ancestors, and Learned More about Brunswick’s Franco Community
Join us for a Zoom talk with Laura Almasi, M.A., American and New England Studies, University of Southern Maine.
Laura Almasi learned a lot by researching her French roots in Brunswick–not only about their biography and family stories, but also about the best resources and the tricks to finding information that at first seems undiscoverable.
The subject of Laura’s master’s thesis, Brunswick’s Franco heritage is full of vibrant stories of hard work, cultural traditions, and community pride. Laura will share a few, as well as some of the ways she did her genealogical and local history research.
Thursday January 21, 6:30-7:30pm
Registration required. PHC Members: $10; non-Members: $15. Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
