Unpacking the Skolfield-Whittier South Attic
May 13, 2021, 12 Noon, via Zoom
Presented by Putting History to Work Intern Morgan Day
If you’ve been keeping up with the Skolfield-Whittier House South Attic Project on our social media, you know what a unique project this is, and the incredible finds we have uncovered. If you haven’t seen the updates, don’t fret! Putting History to Work intern Morgan Day will be sharing the full scope of the project, how she’s tackling it, and her progress.
This exciting sneak peek will give you an inside view of the attic and some of the most fascinating finds recovered from boxes that haven’t been opened in decades. From a solid brass microscope and surgical equipment to international coins and beautifully colored glass plates of Renaissance art, the South Attic is an untouched treasure trove. As you will hear, Morgan has worked hard to plan and organize this massive endeavor, but there is still more work to be done! This illuminating presentation promises to pique your curiosity, expand your knowledge of local history, and entice you to visit the Skolfield-Whittier House in person!
This is a free event, but registration is required. Zoom link sent upon registration.
