Join CREA Photographer Laureate James McCarthy for the latest in a series of popular outdoor photography experiences. As fall approaches at the Cathance River Nature Preserve, Jim will share his secrets for creative nature photography. Whether you are new to the art of photography or an old hand, there is always something new to learn and the natural world at the Preserve is always changing. Please read Jim’s excellent guide Photographing in Nature here and bring your questions and creative ideas on the walk. Jim says, “The camera is a great tool for exploring our world. A way of seeing, for sure, but also a means of discovering and exploring our feelings about the places, people and things that are important to us.”

A former editor of The Times Record, McCarthy’s photographs have appeared in the Cleveland Museum of Arts annual juried May Show four times, as well as in solo and group exhibitions in Maine. This is his tenth year leading walks for CREA.

The walk is limited to 15 persons. Free, but registration is required.
