Community Calendar

This is an introductory workshop for anyone who has thought of capturing nature with simple drawings and keeping a sketchbook for their own pleasure. NO previous drawing experience is necessary. Our goal is to learn to see more deeply or in a new way, while experiencing nature. We will be doing some guided work indoors at the CREA Ecology Center as well as outside, weather permitting.

Carol Evans has been painting watercolors and enjoying outdoor sketching for many years. She relishes the experience of interacting with nature in this way, which deepens our understanding and ability to see. She is a Highland Green resident who has spent many pleasant hours capturing an object or scene in her sketchbook.

For ages 16 and above; 12 spots available – Registration is required to attend.

Materials: Please plan to bring a sketchbook (no smaller than 6” x 8”), #2 pencil, black pen and eraser; other sketching materials will be supplied.
