Celebrate Summer In Harpswell The town of Harpswell will celebrate two days of cultural and community events, on Saturday July 14th and Sunday July 15th. It is a special weekend destination event to promote and showcase all Harpswell has to offer. The celebration will be held at various locations along Harpswell Neck, Great Island, Orr’s island and Bailey Island. A tentative events and locations list is below. Saturday, July 14th Time Event 8:00 – 10:30 Pancake Breakfast;Location: Merriconeag Grange. 11am, 1:00, 3:00 Pottery Throwing Demonstrations; Location: Ash Cove Pottery. 3:00 – 4:00 Sheepdog Demonstration; Location: Two Coves Farm. 5:00 – 7:00 Jazz Party to Benefit Harpswell Community Bandstand (Bob Modr & The four Pistons will perform ); Location: Centennial Hall. Sunday, July 15th 1:00 – 5:00 Open Garden Day, Japanese Iris Viewing; Location: Eartheart Gardens. 1:00 – 5:00 Reception and Refreshments; Location: Sebascodegan Art Gallery. 1:00 – 5:00 Second Sunday Celebration; Location: Gun Point Cove Gallery.
