“Get a taste of LEAN methodology (chocolate, anyone?), and envision how Continuous Improvement (LEAN) can be applied to your work environment to improve process. This is a hands-on introductory lesson intended for anyone who would like to know more about LEAN and how it can make your own work more efficient and your organization more effective”.
Presenters:
Dr. Walter Lowell earned his Doctor of Education from Columbia University in science. He was a professor at Memorial University in Newfoundland, Canada and completed post-doctoral work at Boston University Medical School. He has been a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) since 1998. In 2003, received his certificate as a Certified Continuous Process Improvement Practitioner (CIP). He is currently a freelance consultant and facilitator, and will be teaching a class in LEAN – Process Improvement at USM/LAC in the fall of this year.
Marcel Gagne has a 30+ year background in HR, staff development, management, management training; and has been a Continuous Improvement Practitioner (CIP) since June of 2007. He currently serves on a board of directors of a central maine credit union and is Chair of the Advisory Board at USM/LAC.
