"Front Burner: Al Qaeda"s Attack on USS Cole"

Retired Navy Cmdr. Kirk Lippold was commanding officer of USS Cole on October 12, 2000, when the ship was attacked by suicide bombers in Aden, Yemem, claiming the lives of 17 crewmembers and woulding 39 others. Cmdr. Lippold will discuss the attack, harbinger of a far deadlier day to come, and the tepid response of U. S. government. FMI and tickets visit www.mainemaritinemuseum.org.
