New Interim Executive Director at Tedford Housing: Andrew Lardie

May 18, 2023

Brunswick, ME - Tedford Housing, a Brunswick-based nonprofit providing emergency housing for individuals and families experiencing homelessness, permanent supportive housing for previously homeless families and individuals, and homeless prevention services, has named Andrew Lardie as its new Interim Executive Director. Lardie, of Brunswick, most recently served as President of the Board of Directors at Tedford, and Community Outreach & ELO Coordinator at Brunswick School Department. "Andrew is a passionate champion for Tedford's mission, and in his professional life has spent the past 10 years building local community connections to advance equity and make Brunswick a healthier place to live," said incoming Board President Toni Kemmerle. "I am thrilled to have him take the ED's baton for the second half of our capital campaign." As the Interim Executive Director at Tedford, Lardie will focus on completing its $8.3M capital campaign to build a new emergency housing facility in Brunswick. The new building will replace our aging and poorly configured existing buildings, increase the capacity of our emergency housing program, and better coordinate case management and community resources.

"I am so excited to share with more of our community Tedford's enormous positive impact, and how our new emergency shelter will play a critical role in confronting the housing crisis," Lardie said. "It's time to bring local homelessness out of the shadows and collectively say, 'we will not allow this to continue'."
