Dresden is a quiet, rural bedroom community, and, according to the town’s web site, residents like it that way! 
Incorporated in June 1794, Dresden, is believed to have been named for Dresden, Germany. It is a mere nine miles long and about three to four miles wide. Dresden’s 25,000 acres of mostly undeveloped land is home to the 739-acre Erle R. Kelly Wildlife Management Area, where outdoor enthusiasts enjoy canoeing, fishing, hunting, and viewing of eagles, osprey, and other wildlife species.
