TD Bank’s Auburn Contact Center provides Thanksgiving Day/Christmas Day dinner for patients and their families at AHCH’s Hospice House.

Auburn, ME – For the third year in a row, employees lead by Gerry Touchette, AVP, Email Support Team Manager at TD Bank’s Auburn Contact Center, collected donations to provide holiday cheer for patients and their families who have to spend the holidays at AHCH’s Hospice House. “It was incredible. When they delivered the food it just kept coming into the door, then they presented gift cards for us to use for any extras that we need”, shared Kate Sicotte, Hospice House Manager.

Hospice House patients and their families got to experience TD Bank’s generosity first hand on Thanksgiving Day. “It was the best Thanksgiving Dinner we have ever put on. It was like a family coming together, laughing, crying, playing games, supporting each other and building a bond that that can only be forged when times are tough. We cooked up three turkeys with all the fixings, serving more than 30 people and many came back for seconds. A few families shared that before this meal their loved one had hardly eaten anything for days, but on this day they ate their fill.  We had no food to save. They ate everything and were so THANKFUL. Families members were coming up to us throughout the day to thank us for making Thanksgiving a special memory for them and their loved ones”, shared Leo Sivard, a hospice volunteer, and Kristen Wright, a Hospice House cook.

“Opportunities like this only come around once in a while. In reality, I think we owe AHCH the thanks.  We all want to give back, but sometimes it's hard to find an effective, meaningful way to do it.  It is your gift to us that provide us with a chance to make a real difference – so we thank you AHCH for all they do every day of the year”, shared Larry Wold, President, Maine TD Bank.
