Free Film and David Sobel Talk at the Gardens
Juniper Hill School for Place-Based Education will sponsor a screening of Camilla Rockwell’s 2010 film, “Mother Nature’s Child” and a talk by place-based-education expert David Sobel, who’s featured in the film, from 3-5 p.m. in the Education Center at Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Barters Island Road, Boothbay. Admission is free and open to the public. The film is based on Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv, who states that children have an instinctive love for nature and our role is to support vital experiences in nature. FMI: Call the school at 207-563-7456 or the Gardens at 207-633-4333 or visit www.MaineGardens.org.
