Community Calendar

Curtis Friends and Sisters in Crime are pleased to announce the authors and dates for the Fall 2011 Mystery Author Series at Curtis Memorial Library.  The series begins on Tuesday, September 6^th with Susan Oleksiw, the author of the Mellingham mystery series and another series set in India.  The second mystery author will be Susan Fleet, appearing on Tuesday, September 20^th.  Ms. Fleet will talk about how she went from being a professional trumpeter to writing suspense thrillers set in New Orleans.  Next in the series is Lea Wait on October 4^th who is known for her Shadows Antique Print Mysteries starring Maggie Summer.  The series will conclude on Tuesday, October 18^th with Vicki Doudera.  Vicki is a Maine realtor who has written mysteries featuring realtor Darby Farr of the Near & Farr Real Estate Agency.  All events will be held at 7pm in the Morrell Meeting Room at Curtis Memorial Library.  Free refreshments will be provided by the Bohemian Coffee House, and Gulf of Maine will have copies of the authors’ books for sale.  For more information, call 725-5242, email friends@curtislibrary.com or visit www.curtislibrary.com.
