Edgewater Financial, soon to be Barnard Financial, is a member-business interested in reaching out to women who are approaching retirement or in retirement. They have found that some female clients have reported not feeling as valued and listened to as their husbands or male counterparts. Some national studies mirror some of these same concerns, so they have decided to start a new series called “Women Talk Finances”.
Their invitation says:
“Women Talk Finances” with a relaxing massage and refreshments
Monday, January 20, 6PM at Haven Salon (143 Main Street, Lisbon).
Space is extremely limited. RSVP required. Call Maggie at 576-1344
Discuss and get answers to the important questions you have about retirement.
How do I find a financial advisor who respects and listens to my unique concerns?
What are the financial effects of care taking of children and parents and how can I plan and accommodate for those special situations?
How do I plan my retirement to prepare for a longer life expectancy or health concerns?
What is the so-called "widows penalty" and how might it affect me?
