Intentional Community Planning Forum -Brainstorm with Us! 5:30 PM Phippsburg , Phippsburg

Who's Inviting?
A combined group aspiring to build two (or more)Intentional Communities on the Maine Coast, that includes representatives of "Reinventing Community", "AMICable", "Farming Artists", "Blue Hill Ecovillage Cooperative", and the "Eco Village Advisory Council (EVAC)".

Who are we?
We are a collaborative group that wants to build Intentional Communities (IC's) Maine. Currently, we have a 123 acre site in Blue Hill, a potential 23 acre site in West Windsor, VT. And, we are looking to build a community in the Mid Coast for which no site has yet been chosen.

Our Vision:
Our vision is to build diverse intergenerational communities. We expect to innovate in governance, with sociocracy and DAOs; in economics, using a local currency and tokens for ownership; in culture, by creating a supportive and caring environment; and in technology, by designing off-grid, net-zero buildings and phone apps for accounting. The members will share core values and basic principles, but allow for differences in backgrounds and beliefs. It will support resilience and sustainability in its buildings and in its programs.

What will the Intentional Communities be?

It's up to you and us all to have input.

We believe that we can live better. Let’s do something. Let’s build an intentional community that we, you, would want to live in.

You can help us by sharing your thoughts and becoming part of our group, AMICable. Help us plan and envision. Let's BRAINSTORM TOGETHER! This is a free get-together; we may ask people to do potluck for some of the meals. We limited accommodations. There are many AirBnBs nearby if necessary.

Location: Phippsburg, ME

When: Friday Jan 19th 5:30pm through Sunday 21st 2pm.
